3D-Printed Map Model of the Moon’s South Pole!
Our own custom-made model of the famous Lunar South Pole region, made from LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) LOLA (Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter) height data and represented at exacting 1:750,000 scale with 1:1 vertical scale (no exaggeration). Originally made for companies working on the upcoming manned and unmanned lunar missions beginning in 2023, you can own the same exacting model.
This map features Shackleton Crater, named for the Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton and made famous by Apple TV+’s show “For All Mankind”, as well as de Gerlache, Slater, Sverdrup, Shoemaker and parts of Faustini and Haworth craters. This print is approximately 22cm x 22cm and 2cm tall (8.5″ x 8.5″ x 3/4″).
Available in uncoated gray PLA plastic, or with a textured multicolor gray coating for more realism, and also with a customizable text legend plate.
